At Lokal, travel is about connecting with each other, with the country, and with yourself. Our travelers are people who set out with open eyes and an open heart. To ensure this goes smoothly and safely, there are a few things you need to know:
You love adventure, but also peace and quiet. You are curious about other cultures and look with respect at those who think or live differently. You leave judgment at home and are open to meeting people. You appreciate a campfire conversation just as much as a well-organized transfer.
You have normal physical and mental health and are able to travel independently. If you require additional medical or personal support, please let us know within 24 hours of booking. We are happy to help, but safety comes first.
You are responsible for valid travel documents. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months upon your return home. You have travel insurance with coverage for medical expenses and cancellation.
After your booking, you will receive a confirmation from us. Only then is your participation final. We reserve the right to cancel your booking if it does not fit the trip or group dynamics.
Our groups consist of 12 to 30 people. Overnight stays are usually in double rooms. If you are traveling alone, you will be paired with a roommate of the same sex. Single rooms are available upon request and at an additional cost. Occasionally, a triple room is shared if there is an odd number of participants.
You are willing to travel together, sometimes literally, sometimes figuratively. We look out for one another. You arrive on time, listen when someone shares their story, and are present with attention. We ensure a carefree organization, local contact, and moments that stay with you.
Some extras, such as excursions, upgrades, or meals outside the program, are at your own expense. Our conditions you can find it on the page General Terms and Conditions. Additional costs may apply for changes on your part. In the event of force majeure (such as new government measures), we will look for a solution or reschedule the trip.
We are not liable for loss, theft, injury, or health problems that are beyond our control.
Decisions by border authorities or airlines are also beyond our control.
You don't come just for the landscape, you come for the feeling. For the laughter at a long table. For tea in the shade. For music under the stars. And for the trip you might not have planned, but which came at exactly the right time.
